Washington State Fraternal Order of Police and Benton County Sheriff’s Office have partnered together, along with an independent contractor with the Department of Justice, to provide Ukrainian law enforcement with critical medical supplies. As a community, we all feel compelled to respond and we are providing our community with a way they can help support the Ukrainian people. Helping Ukraine police officers, the brave men and women officers holding the line in their communities, is what we would do for our local law enforcement partners when they call for help. Ukraine may be miles away, but law enforcement officers are asking for help, so we will help them.
Donations will be used to purchase humanitarian aid, such as trauma kits, medical supplies, warm clothes, and food. Donations will help pay to ship the humanitarian aid to our partners at the Bradley Country Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is the staging area where donated goods are being inventoried, sorted, and placed on pallets for shipment to Ukraine by community volunteers. Cargo flights are being arranged to transport donations to identified locations in Europe and will be delivered to the National Police of Ukraine including the Patrol Police Department through established channels in the country.
