On May 30, 2023, Trooper Travis Rocz was seriously injured in a traffic collision. The driver of the van that hit him was killed. A Chambers County deputy was treated at the scene and released. Trooper Rocz was flown to Memorial Herman by life flight and is expected to recover but will be sidelined for several months.
