Hailey Murphy, wife of Trooper Timothy M. Murphy, THP Bryan, was struck by a drunk driver in 2019 suffering multiple head injuries. She has been diagnosed as a result of the crash, with bitemporal epilepsy with hippocampal sclerosis.
She has undergone numerous surgeries with the last one appearing to be successful but is unable to work due to the seizures. The family has incurred numerous medical bills as a result of the five surgeries.
The DPS Troopers Foundation has started a Help A Hero Campaign to assist the Murphy family with their medical bills. Help A Hero charges a fee up front, 100% of funds raised will go to assist the family.
