Critical Incident

We are sad to report that Trooper Vasquez succumbed to his injuries this morning. Prayers for the family.
Trooper Kevin Ramirez Vasquez, U.S. Army veteran and recent graduate of DPS class A-23, was working a crash in Ector County, when a vehicle struck an Ector County Sheriff's department vehicle, critically injuring Trooper Vasquez who was outside of the vehicle. The Deputy, who was in his vehicle was injured as well. Trooper Vasquez was flown to a hospital in Lubbock and is in critical condition.

The DPS Troopers Foundation is raising money for the Vasquez family through Help-a-Hero. A fee is charged up front, 100% of donations go to the family.

If you are able, please donate. Prayers for all involved.
