Critical Incident

Trooper Jaime Iniguez of the Texas Highway Patrol lost his home in a fire on February 16, 2025, in Bedias, Texas. At the time, Trooper Iniguez was deployed to the State Capitol, but his wife, Sabrina Garcia, and their children, Mateo and Lucas, were at home when the fire started. Fortunately, Sabrina and the kids were able to escape safely. The fire resulted in a total loss of their home and personal belongings. Trooper Iniguez began his career with the Department of Public Safety (DPS) in 2022 and was stationed at the Capitol. Recently, he transferred from the Huntsville duty station to Madisonville in February of this year. The Iniguez family is in dire need of assistance, as they have lost everything in the fire.

The DPS Troopers Foundation is raising money to help the Iniguez family. If you are able, please donate. Help a Hero charges a fee up front. 100% of the money donated goes to the family.

Sergeant Smith of DPS Centerville is allowing clothing donations at the Centerville THP office located at 204 East. St. Mary Street in Centerville, 75833.

My daughter’s house burned to the ground a couple of years ago, and they lost everything, so I can relate to your pain. I am thankful your family is safe. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
