Cause Details

Critical Incident

- On January 31, 2023, at around 8:45 a.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper Curtis Putz was struck by a vehicle while investigating a crash on I-45 near mile marker 220 in Navarro County. Trooper Putz was seriously injured and transported to a Dallas area hospital where he remains in serious condition. Trooper Putz will undergo a long recovery due to his injuries. DPSTF is raising money to help his family in the recovery. If you can, please donate.

We ask that you please keep Trooper Putz and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
