Officer Richard Armstrong, Community Resource Officer for the Greensboro Police Department’s District 3, has been courageously battling a rare medical condition known as Minimal Change Disease (MCD). He is not only a dedicated officer, but true friend and mentor to all who know him.

MCD is a kidney disorder that damages the glomeruli, tiny clusters of blood vessels that filter waste from the body. While it most commonly affects children, approximately 10–15% of adult cases are reported each year. Unfortunately, this diagnosis has significantly altered Officer Armstrong's daily life, including permanent changes to his diet and lifestyle.

Despite these challenges, Officer Armstrong continues to demonstrate the strength, humility, and dedication that have defined his nearly 25-year career with the Greensboro Police Department. As he approaches the final 4–5 years of his service, having served in numerous impactful roles, he should be focused on his health, not the financial stress that often accompanies ongoing medical treatment.

With the blessing of Officer Armstrong and his family, we have created this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden of his medical care. Any amount you can contribute will go directly toward supporting him and his loved ones during this difficult time. Let’s show Richard the same support he’s shown to so many of us over the years. Every donation, share, and kind word makes a difference.

On Behalf of his coworkers, friends, and family we thank you for your support.
