It is with a heavy heart that the Plano Police Association announces the tragic passing of Lieutenant Earnest Oldham due to complications of COVID-19.  Lt. Oldham began his career with the Plano Police Department on January 27, 1992.  Prior to working in Plano, Oldham worked as a police officer for the Garland Police Department from October 1987 until being hired by Plano.

Lieutenant Oldham leaves behind a wife, teenage twins (a son and daughter), and a host of other family and friends.  He will be missed greatly.

If you are able to support the Oldham family, any small amount is greatly appreciated. 100% of your donation will go directly to the family.

It is with a heavy heart that the Plano Police Association announces the tragic passing of Lieutenant Earnest Oldham due to complications of COVID-19.  Lt. Oldham began his career with the Plano Police Department on January 27, 1992.  Prior to working in Plano, Oldham worked as a police officer for the Garland Police Department from October 1987 until being hired by Plano.

Lieutenant Oldham leaves behind a wife, teenage twins (a son and daughter), and a host of other family and friends.  He will be missed greatly.

My family and I so grateful for all of our great police officers that serve and protect us every day and know that officer Oldham did his duty with professionalism and honor and that the Plano community is blessed to have men and women like him serving and protecting us. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Officer Lieutenant Oldham. I took the Plano Police Academy just before Covid and was able to meet many of Plano's Officers and ride with several. He will be missed much by his family, City of Plano, and the great group of people that he got to work with

Such an amazing officer at rice middle school. He was such a good mentor and protector to all the kids. Prayers for his family and his brother and sisters in blue. The world lost a Good man. I'm so sorry for your loss.
