Corporal Grade One Matthew “Ty” Snook of the Delaware State Police was killed in the line of duty on December 23, 2025, while working his post at Wilmington DMV. He was tragically shot & later succumbed to his injuries.

Beyond his title and uniform, Ty was first and foremost a loving husband, a devoted father, and a deeply cherished friend. Those who knew him remember his steady presence, his kindness, and his unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Family meant everything to Ty, and he worked every day to provide, protect, and be present for those closest to him.

As a Trooper, Ty served the people of Delaware with courage, integrity, and selflessness. He answered the call to protect others, even at the ultimate cost. His dedication to duty was matched only by his commitment to his family and the friendships he built throughout his life and career.

Ty’s sacrifice will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on through his family, his fellow Troopers, and a community forever changed by his courage.

As a MA Trooper with a 1 year old son, this hit very close to home. I cannot imagine what you are going through. While there are no words that can ease the pain of this tragedy; please know that you are not alone, and you have your blue family all across the country here to support you.

I am grateful for the service our law enforcement officers provide, especially since the Democrats opened our borders to illegals who are criminals, gang bangers and drug dealers. Biden should be ashamed of his Presidency. Thank God for the officers like CPL Snook that chose to protect the good citizens while paying the ultimate price. He is truly an American Hero. May he rest is peace. and may his family know how much our prayers are with them.

I’m donating on behalf of my boyfriend and myself. Seeing the dawning situation from our perspective, he as a man would hope myself and our child would be taken care of after he was gone. Myself as a woman feels heart break for what she has lost, this is something we pray to never go through. Snoop is and always will be a hero. He deserves all the recognition in the world and his wife and child deserve endless support for their sacrifice and grievances. I pray for his soul and his family.
