Sergeant Daniel Cross was seriously injured in a crash on IH-10 on December 14th while headed to work Operation Lone Star. A semi-truck towing a low-bed trailer attempted a U-turn at the center median leaving the trailer stranded and blocking both westbound lanes of IH-10 near MM 95. Sgt. Cross' vehicle collided with the trailer. He was transported to Del Sol Medical Center by EMS and remains in stable condition but faces a lengthy recovery.
The DPS Troopers Foundation is raising money to help pay for Sgt. Cross's expenses to his family as they are staying in a hotel in the Midland area while he recovers. Help-a-Hero charges a fee up front, 100% of the funds raised will go to the Cross family. If you are able, please donate.
