Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
Today, we are reaching out to ask for your support to assist a friend and retired Correction Officer in his time of need. In 2019, Officer Michael Fallon received the devastating diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrigβs Disease. Despite this challenging diagnosis, Michael continued to dedicate himself to his work at the Westchester County Department of Corrections day in and day out, displaying unwavering commitment until 2021 when his condition deteriorated, ultimately leading to his retirement after an illustrious career spanning over 28 years of service.
Presently, Michael maintains some mobility, but his daily activities are significantly affected, requiring the assistance of a walker and frequent rest periods. To ensure Michael's continued independence, there is a pressing need to enhance the accessibility of his home, aligning it with the standards outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act. With the invaluable support of The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York City (a volunteer-based non-profit organization) and Westchester County Legislator James Nolan, we are making strides toward realizing this goal. However, we cannot achieve this alone and require your support to alleviate the financial burden associated with this renovation, as well as to contribute towards Michael's ongoing medical needs.
We extend our deepest gratitude for any assistance you can provide. Together, we have the power to make a tangible difference in the life of someone who has brought joy, laughter, and companionship to countless individuals. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
Sincerely,
Ryan Foley
