Deputy Mike Allred with the Box Elder Sheriff’s Office has served in law enforcement for the last 5 years. Deputy Allred worked in the jail before transferring to the patrol division, where he is currently the handler for K9 Azula, a three year old Belgian malinois.
On 8/17/25 Deputy Allred was injured by gunfire shortly after he arrived to assist another agency. Deputy Allred received gunshot related injuries to his head. K9 Azula was also injured by gunfire. Both Deputy Allred and K9 Azula are expected to recover.
