IBEW 903 Journeyman Lineman James Moore — known to many as “Brother,” and to others as the guitar man — is one of those rare souls who brings strength, grit, and heart everywhere he goes. If he’s not on the job, he’s in the gym. If there’s a storm to chase, he’s already lacing up his boots.
James is currently hospitalized after a sudden diagnosis of heart failure and now needs a heart transplant. Nearly $57,000 is required to transfer him from Louisiana to Nevada so he can undergo surgery to have an LVAD implanted, which will keep him alive while he waits for a transplant. Medication alone will only keep his heart pumping for a short time.
James is a devoted father of three, and his love for linework runs deep — so deep that his son followed him into the trade and even ran storms by his side. For so many people, James has always been there — the steady one who shows up when others are struggling, reaching out his hand. Now he can use a hand.
He will require 24/7 care for nearly a year, after his transplan. His family is bracing and ready his to take on that responsibility.
Funds raised will help cover the urgent medical transport he so desperately needs, assist his family as they prepare to care for him, install a stair lift for his recovery, and ease the heavy financial strain this crisis is placing on James and his family.
If you’re able, please donate, share, and keep James and his family in your thoughts as they face this storm together.
