Critical Incident

On Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, with only one week until his retirement, Yonkers Police Department Detective Brian Menton was shot in the line of duty while engaged in a dangerous gun operation. Det. Menton, a 27-year veteran of the YPD and one of it's most highly decorated police officers, was actively taking illegal guns off the streets of Yonkers up until his final days on the job. His unwavering commitment and dedication to keeping the City of Yonkers safe is unparalleled.

Now we have an opportunity to help Det. Menton. There will be some minor but costly modifications that will help Det. Menton in his rehabilitation and recovery from his gunshot wound. Please donate what you can to this amazing cause.

On behalf of the entire Menton and YPD family, we thank you all for your generosity and for your prayers and well wishes.
