Eight-year-old Hayden Venegas is putting up a fight of her life.
Hayden, whose father Russell is a 15-year veteran of the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department, was born with a serious heart condition and ended up receiving a pig’s heart valve. Recently, bacteria developed around the valve, leading to a life-threatening condition known as endocarditis. Hayden is scheduled to undergo open heart surgery in the coming days.
The Palos Verdes Police Officers Association is raising money to support the Venegas family while they focus on getting Hayden through open heart surgery this week. Please consider donating to help the Venegas family as they support their tough little girl who’s in the fight of her life.
