Critical Incident

K9 Corporal Diego Alvarez has been a member of the Schererville Police Department for more than seven years, the last five-and-a-half with his K9 partner Hawk. He came to Schererville from the Gary Police Department, where he served  for two years.

On Feb. 5 while he was serving his community on patrol, a fire started in the roof of his house while his wife and two children were home. Everyone, including his two other dogs, were able to make it out safely, but they will be displaced from their home until the repairs are made.

Help a member of our community who has give so much to the community and support Corporal Alvarez and his family as they navigate this difficult time. All proceeds will go toward helping the family make the necessary repairs and ease the burden of displacement costs.

I appreciate what you do as a community servant. But, in addition, my Lord Jesus has been there for me, and He wants you to know, He’s there for you too. 😉😊♥️
