Hello everyone,
I am creating this FundAHero to support my brother-in-law Jim Mowrey who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Gastric Adenocarcinoma. Jim is an amazing husband, father, and friend who has always been there for his family and his community as a Sgt for the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. He has always been the one to help others in need, and now it's our turn to support him.
Jim was diagnosed a few days ago and it has been a challenging time for him and his family. He was flown to UCSF to have more testing done to see what the best course of treatment will be. He will begin Chemo as soon as his results are in. This will be a long and costly journey for him and his family since they will have to make the trip from Eureka California for his treatments weekly. As a family we are doing everything we can to support him.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help Jim cover his medical expenses, transportation costs, and other expenses that come with fighting cancer. This will also help him and his family focus on his treatment and recovery without worrying about the financial burdens.
We understand that not everyone can donate, but any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
