Crystal has been diagnosed with Lupus and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome - a terminal illness causing rapid immobility.
Due to the degenerative disease, Crystal has been given 6 years to live.
Crystal is young, just turning 40 in December, she is the wife of a First Responder having been married to a Grand Prairie Police Motorcycle Officer for the past 17 years, and she is a mother to 5 wonderful children. Her husband is also
Within the last 6 months she has been forced to move from a wheelchair to a motorized mobility device. These devices are very expensive and would use a chunk of anyone's savings. Now, the family is in desperate need of a wheelchair accessible van.
After looking at the cost of these vans, our goal is to raise enough money to purchase a used van to support the family as they travel to and from doctors appointments, spend precious time together, and try to keep a sense of normalcy during the news and care.
We are setting our goal at $45k, and Crystal’s family needs as much help as we can share with them. Every donation makes a difference, and we’re grateful for the community support giving back to one of our police family members.
If you can, please also take the initiative to reach out to your local contacts, businesses, and charitable organizations for additional donations and share this page to spread the word.
