James Griffin, a dedicated IBEW Local 995 Lineman, was involved in a motor vehicle accident while working storm duty in Michigan. While navigating a construction zone with a merge area and two narrow lanes, he was going past another vehicle when the soft, uneven shoulder pulled the trailer down and off the roadway. Not wanting to harm anyone else, James had no choice but to ride it through, which ultimately took the bucket truck with it off the road.
Now facing an uncertain recovery period, James will be out of work for an unknown amount of time. He had taken this storm call to earn extra money for his family’s unexpected need to move after receiving notice that the home they rent had been sold. With upcoming medical treatments, lost wages, and the urgent need to relocate, this family is facing overwhelming challenges. His wife Jessica and their four children—ranging from just 4 months old to 17 years—depend on him, and any donation, no matter the size, will help provide stability and support during this difficult time.
The National Sisterhood United for Journeymen Linemen is organizing this effort to assist James and his family during this difficult time. If you’re unable to give financially, your prayers and well wishes for a swift recovery and a smooth transition to a new home mean just as much. Thank you for standing with James and his family when they need it most.
