Just a few days ago, February 20, 2021, my dear friend’s aunt, Evelyn Alfonso was diagnosed with diabetes. She is 54 years old from Tayabo, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. What she thought was a simple lump in her right foot turned out to be a severe infection. The lump was excised but the doctors found out that the foot had to be amputated to avoid the spread of infection to the rest of her body. It was unexpected & no one was prepared for this. Currently, the running bill is at PhP55,000 but that does not include the amputation yet. We are knocking only after the lump was removed.
Any amount would definitely help with her bills as well as any medication she needs after.
