On October 4th Cole Blasingame of San Angelo, son of Trooper Trey and AnaKaren Blasingame went in for his normal allergy shot. His nurse suggested that bruising from football appeared abnormal. After further blood work Cole was flown to The Woodlands Childrens hospital and diagnosed with Renal Failure. He is being transferred to Houston Childrens Hospital Kidney Center. He is expected to be there for at least one week. Dialysis has begun and he will need a kidney transplant.
The family is staying in a hotel near the hospital and incurring expenses due to this extended travel from San Angelo.
The DPS Troopers Foundation is raising money to support the Blasingame family expenses. Please consider donating to this cause. Donors pay a fee up front and 100% of the pledged amount of money goes to the family.
