Critical Incident

On 4/28/25, Trooper Ronald Lynch (2D02) was traveling southbound on SH 36 just south of FM 1488 in Orchard. Trooper Lynch was attempting to make a traffic stop and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.  As a result of the collision, Trooper Lynch was pinned inside and later extricated from the vehicle.  Trooper Lynch was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann due to injuries sustained from the crash. His injuries include a broken pelvis, a metal plate with 5 screws were part of his surgery. Trooper Lynch will face months of rehab before he will be able to return to work. 

The DPS Troopers Foundation is raising money to assist the Lynch family with expenses while at the hospital and for rehab. Help-A-Hero charges a fee up front, 100% of the funds raised will go to the family. If you are able, please donate.
