Craig “CJ” Blank, a 23-year veteran Emergency Medical Technician member of the Cherry Hill Fire Department, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away while off duty on October 10, 2025. 

CJ was assigned to BLS Ambulance 1393’s B Platoon / Night Tour. During his years of dedicated service, CJ helped thousands of people and saved countless lives in Cherry Hill and other surrounding communities. His entire public service career was one based upon respect, integrity, and compassion.

CJ is survived by his wife and three (3) children, two girls and a boy. The members of International Association of Firefighters Local 3249 are seeking donations to assist his family with expenses during this difficult time.

I’m so sorry for your loss, and the loos to the community CJ served. I’ve had the opportunity to work with him from time to time over the years and recently my son has also. Our sincere condolences.

I’ve known CJ for nearly 20 years during my time at the CHFD. He was a devoted member of our family here and always a pleasure to interact with in the firehouse or on the street. Please take comfort in knowing he made a difference in many of the lives here and those he cared for in the community.
