On June 24th, 2022 thousands of people marched at the Arizona State Capitol regarding the recent SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v Wade. During this protest, multiple incidents of criminal damage took place at Wesley Bolin Plaza. This is where many state memorials are located, including our very own Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Memorial, which honors Arizona canines killed in the line of duty. We fail to see how desecrating these memorials helps solve the issue on either side. We will be fixing the damage, which in turn takes away resources we could’ve used to help our mission of training and equipping canine teams across the state.
